Welcome to our Monash South Africa online application for the 2024-2025 academic year. The Monash University South Africa (MUSA) is offering a full range of undergraduate and postgraduate courses for the 2024-2025 academic year. The application fee

  • International applicants must pay a $100 application fee and provide payment proof.

  • a copy of your passport as proof that you are fluent in English

HOW TO APPLY

Step 1: Locate a course.

  • To find the right course for you, go to Undergraduate course options or Postgraduate course options. Remember to double-check all of the entry requirements and prerequisites for the course for which you intend to apply.

The Bachelor of Computer Science degree at Monash Malaysia is available in two specializations. The following are registered and approved course names for these specializations by the Malaysian Ministry of Education:

  • Bachelor of Computer Science
  • Bachelor of Computer Science in Data Science

If you submit an online application, you will be asked to choose a specialization (stream). Please select Advanced Computer Science as your stream if you intend to apply for the Bachelor of Computer Science degree. Please keep in mind that only course names approved by the Malaysian Ministry of Education will be listed on your testamur.

Step 2: Gather all necessary documentation and information.

You will need the following items to apply online:

  • a working email address
    details of the courses (title and course code) you intend to apply for your academic transcripts in a file format suitable for upload evidence that you meet the English language requirements (e.g. IELTS test scores) in a file format suitable for upload documents that support any application for credit for prior learning (including all official transcripts or academic results from previous studies,
  • Monash University Malaysia accepts credit card payments.
  • If you do not have a credit card, please make a bank draft/cheque payable to “Monash University Malaysia Sdn Bhd.” On the reverse side of the cheque/bank draft, please write the student’s name, student ID number, and contact number. Only cash is accepted at the Finance Unit. Please print a cover sheet and send your payment along with it to:

All electronic documents must be in a file format that can be uploaded with your online application for early assessment (e.g., pdf, doc, or rtf text files or pdf or jpg image files, file size limit is 2.5MB per file). Please send us certified hard copies of the documents you uploaded online before the application deadline.
A certified document is a photocopy of the original that has been stamped, signed, and dated, with the name and position clearly written to confirm that it is a true copy of the original sighted by one of the following authorized persons:

  • Monash registered representative/agent for your current/previous educational institution
  • Monash University employees
  • A lawyer or solicitor
  • An oath commissioner.

To request certification of a copy of a document, you must bring both the original and the copy to your designated authorized person.
If your documentation is not in English, you must provide an official certified translation.
All documentation required for a student pass application must be mailed to us by international students. Please see the student pass application.

Step 3: Create an account and apply online.

  • Begin your application by creating an online application account. You can log out and back in at any time to continue your application; the application is saved after you complete each page.
  • You must read and accept the terms and conditions in order to submit your application successfully.

Step 4: Monitor your application status online.

Step 5: Present the package

Monash University will review your application and, if accepted, will send you an offer package. The offer package includes the following:

  • A letter of intent
  • Acceptance documentation
  • Checklist for International Students (if applicable)
  • Please keep in mind that if you submit an incomplete application, Monash may make you a conditional offer.

You must submit any missing information or supporting documentation to the University before the offer lapse date specified in the letter.

Step 6: Request a student pass (for all International students)

Before accepting your offer, ensure that all required documentation for a student pass application has been submitted to the University. Please see the application for a student pass for more information.

Step 7: Accept your proposal.

When you receive your offer from Monash, accept it and send it along with the required payment to:

Step 8: Orientation and enrollment in school

  • Finally, you must arrive in Malaysia in time for orientation and school enrollment.
