  • The general public and qualified applicants may now access the online application for admission to Rhodes University (RU) for the academic year 2024–2025 beginning in April. The management board of Rhodes University (RU) is urging all potential students who are interested in attending the school to apply online before the application deadline for the class of 2024. Through our online application system, prospective students can submit an application to study at the university.

Student fees (estimate)

  • R32 120 to R55 770 (this varies from degree to degree)
  • Spend about R6 050 on books and office supplies.
  • Please take note that the fees shown ARE NOT inclusive of travel costs or gratuities.

eligibility prerequisites

  • Candidate must be 18 years old.
  • in good standing at your place of attendance
  • GPA of 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale (GPAs under 3.0 will be considered on a case-by-case basis and will require additional documents outlined in a section below)
    standing as a sophomore, junior, or senior when the program starts. When enrolling at the UCT, applicants must have completed at least three semesters of coursework (first-semester sophomores can apply). Students with a sophomore standing may not be able to enroll in certain courses at the local university. For more information, kindly get in touch with your IES Abroad Representative.

You must have registered as an online user and/or received your login information from Rhodes University in order to log into ROSS. You must use your student number and password to log in if you have already been given them. Please log in with the credentials listed in the Registration to Online Admissions email you receive after registering as an online user if you have not yet been assigned a student number.
