UCT online application dates 2024-2025
UCT online application dates for the academic year 2024-2025 are available now. Students who have not applied to UCT yet can do so from the official website. Applications are now being accepted for the following faculties: Arts, Business, Science, and Social Sciences. UCT offers a wide range of programs that can be flexible to students’ individual needs.
All qualified applicants can now apply online via the UCT online Application tool, as the application window is now open from May to August 2024.
Eligibility Requirements:
- 18 years of age
- In good standing at your home school
- 3.0 GPA or better on a 4.0 scale (GPAs under 3.0 will be considered on a case-by-case basis and will require additional documents outlined in a section below)
- Sophomore, Junior, or Senior standing when the program begins. Applicants need to have at least three semesters of course work when they enroll at the UCT (first-semester sophomores can apply). Some local university courses may not be available to students of Sophomore standing. Please contact your IES Abroad Representative for more details.

How to Check or Track the Status of a University of Cape Town (UCT) Application in 2024
How to Check or Track Your University of Cape Town (UCT) Application Status After applying, you must complete the following steps;
- Go to the UCT status checker portal – http://www.students.uct.ac.za/students/applications/apply/undergraduates/check-status
- Select and Enter your ID Number/Passport number
- Click Sign In by clicking SUBMIT button
- Then click the “Login” button to access your admission status
Congratulations if your name appears on the University of Cape Town’s admission list as a successful candidate.
