Closing Dates for Applications

  • 30 June for MBCHB
  • 30 September for all other programs


  • R240 (SA citizen)
  • R300 (International student)
  • R465 (Late application fee for SA citizens)

Please keep in mind to include the following documents (where applicable):

  • A certified copy of your ID/passport.
  • Certified copy of your National Senior/Matric Certificate, O/A Levels, or other relevant school leaving qualification/certificate.
  • If you are an international applicant, you must provide proof from Universities South Africa (formerly known as HESA) that you are eligible for admission to degree studies at South African universities. The undergraduate prospectus has additional information.
  • Certified copies of your degree certificate(s), academic record, and certificate of conduct, if you attended other colleges.
  • International applicants from non-English speaking nations must provide proof of English competency.
  • The South African Qualifications Authority (SAQA) evaluates previous qualifications gained at overseas universities (outside South Africa).
  • If you are applying for a Masters or PhD, you must submit a research proposal/proposed title for your dissertation/thesis.
  • If you are an international student, you must have a valid study visa to study in South Africa.
  • Please ensure that you have read the requirements above before applying online.
  • Please verify that you have all of the HESA/SAQA documents needed to complete your application.
  • When paying the application fee, please use the reference APPN (followed by your student number).
  • Please give the system 24 to 48 hours to process your payment.
