We are writing to remind you that the University of Zululand (UZ) is currently conducting an online application process for the 2024-2025 academic year. If you have not already done so, please visit our website (www.uz.ac.zw) and follow the instructions on how to apply. We would like to remind you that all applications must be submitted online through our website and no paper applications will be accepted.

Opening and shutting of admission Date

  • Applications for admission in 2024 are accepted starting on May and ending on August.

South African nationals must pay application fees to the University of Zululand.

  • A non-refundable R220 application fee is required for timely applications. Applicants from outside of South Africa must pay R275. Keep in mind that this cost must be paid prior to the application deadline of October. A late application fee will cost R440 for South African candidates and R550 for those from outside of South Africa.

Apply online

  • Sign up for the system online at http://www.unizulu.ac.za with the use of your email address and a password
    A link to activate your account will subsequently be issued to you through email.
    To activate your registration, click the link.
  • As a result, you will return to ROSS and need to select the Admission/Other tab (clicking the right button here is important)
  • You can then log in using the username and password you created in step one.
  • After completing your application, click the button to accept the terms and conditions before submitting.
  • Once your application has been submitted, you must pay the R100 application fee. The system offers a range of choices.
    If you use a bank to pay your application fee, be sure to email us the deposit slip with your application number as the reference.
    Once you have finished the above steps, your application will be processed, and you will receive a student number and login.
